Meet the Inspectors

Victor J. Faggella, President, NY Office    vjf@centurion-inspections.com

  • Vic is the founder of the company and has been performing inspections since 1970. He gained his experience teaching Industrial technology for 33 years, as Technical Vice-President of a national company with responsibility for training inspectors, developing a reporting system and writing technical bulletins and as a builder. His education includes both a B.S. and an M.S. from NYU in Ind. Tech. and Adm.; Certified BOCES courses in "Boiler Installation" and "Plumbing". Vic was also three times past president of the NY Metro Chapter of ASHI® and is a published author of many articles and columns on home inspections. In 2002, Vic was the winner of the prestigious "John E. Cox Member of the Year Award", given by ASHI® to the member who has shown outstanding service to the local ASHI® chapter. His specialty is old houses.

  • Victor G. has been performing home inspections 1988.  He gained his original construction experience working with Victor J., since the age of 16. Since then, he has completed many projects on his own. Victor is the Co-Chairman for the NY Metro Chapter's Annual Seminar, which provides training, for ASHI® inspectors. He was past President & Vice-President, Treasurer and currently President, once again, of the NY Metro Chapter of ASHI®.  He was the Editor of the Chapter Newsletter and served for many years as a Chapter Director. His education includes an Associates Degree in Engineering Science, a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clarkson College of Technology and a Professional Engineer License from the State of Connecticut.  In 2010, Victor followed in his father's footsteps and won the prestigious "John E. Cox Member of the Year Award", given by ASHI® to the member who has shown outstanding service to the local ASHI® chapter. This is the first time in history a father and son have won the coveted award.

Jimmy Hodrinsky, Inspector*

  • Jimmy was the first inspector hired to work with Vic and has been performing inspections since 1978. He has extensive experience in residential construction and renovation and teaches Adult Education Courses in Home Construction and Maintenance. Jim has renovated many old homes and serves as a Qualified Inspector for the Connecticut Department of Housing, in their "One Down Payment Assistance Program." His education includes both a B.S. and M.A. in Industrial, Technical and Vocational Education-Supervision and Administration; he has completed 45 credits past his Master's Degree.

Thomas Rooney, Inspector*

  • Tom has been performing home inspections since 1980. His years of experience in residential home construction includes, framing, plumbing, roofing and wiring. He has worked for years with Habitat for Humanities constructing homes for low income families. Tom has also completed courses in HVAC and Refrigeration at the Board of Cooperative Education Services, (BOCES). Tom has an AAS in Mechanical Engineering; a BS in Industrial Arts & Technology and an MS in AV Communications. He has completed 75 credits past his Master's Degree.
